Had an amazing week camping here, Alison the owner was so helpful and friendly. 2 pubs within 5 mins walk, a brilliant park for the kids across the road from the railway pub. Can't wait to return next year.

Fantastic well relaxed campsite in a beautiful village where you can get food ..other than that delivery service from local Chinese. Indian .pizza all available.. strict conditions on noise with respect for villagers 11.pm silence.. but one of my favourite campsites alison is the best ...

Great location but pricy for a tent if non members, really close to Skipton by car or train and pub is walking distance

Our first time camping with our family and children, the site was nice and clean the kids were happy playing around in the field. We knew it was 11pm music and fires off but we wasn't expecting Alison to be coming and telling us its lights out time basically telling us we should be in our tents and going to sleep at 11pm. We was by no means talking loudly out of respect for others beside us. Alison persisted to keep saying if we don't like the rules then we can leave, she came back 15 mins later we was sat in the dark been quiet and she came and said she was getting annoyed that we was all still out our tents. As adults it felt like we was been told off like naughty children and been sent to bed. The second day/ night we was all treading on egg shells waiting for her arrival again. Alison came around in the morning saying it will be lights out at 11 tonight and she was not happy that only my daughter apologised to her the previous night, we had nothing to apologise for. So for our first camping experience, she ruined it with her rude, abrupt attitude. I understand music and fires out at a set time, but to be told to basically go to bed is not on when we have already been quiet. We asked neighbouring tents if they could hear us at any point, and they all said no, we weren't been loud as they was also sat outside their tent but nothing was said to them which is strange. So if your either in bed before 11 anyway then I wouldn't recommend going here unless your happy for Alison to be dictating your bedtime.

Absolutely excellent site. Very picturesque and fab amenities. Lots of pitches and a 10 minute walk into the village where there are 2 lovely pubs and a shop. Nice walks just outside the fields. Owner Alison is very nice and we were able to stay an extra night at the last minute. Will definitely be back.

Riverside camp site owner Alison was very welcoming asked us we're we would like to set up so that was nice.very well looked after working farm lots and lots of places to visit lots of walks werever you wanted to go there was plenty to do.two pubs on the doorstep ,and many further a field.every one we passed was very friendly and said hello especially on walks .Plenty of villagers to give you ideas and advice of places to go and see and always interested where we were from.we met some lovely people on the site and was very friendly ,we really enjoyed it .This campsite takes Tents,tippee, caravans,campervans,pets and children .

Lovely location and owner. Plenty of space, lovely site. The road in goes through a busy village and you turn off onto a narrow road in. TV signal OK, missing a few channels. Vodaphone signal good, EE excelent. Will be returning.

Little gem that's how I describe this campsite, have been camping for over fifty years now,and now and then you come across a gem and this is it, very clean in all aspects, great transport links, well stocked Little shop,two local pubs in the village Alison the owner very helpful and friendly, great value lovely location , definitely will be coming back again.

The Riverside is a Caravan/ campervan/motorhome/camp site. Ideal location for Skipton, Canals & lots of forest walks. Amenities, showers, toilets, wash up area, & Electric. £20pn which is good value. Walkability: Ideal location for those who love to walk around the countryside

Pros: ideal location near the station. Lovely little village with pubs, fantastic village shop with friendly staff, and nice walks around the area. Lovely views from the campsite and nice to meet the owner on arrival. Cons: really steeply priced. We were in a 3 man tent and paid £18 EACH per night. Given the facilities were basic at best (£1 showers, not particularly clean, basic washing up facilities) this seemed exorbitant. Also, really really noisy. It’s a nice spacious campsite, but the noise levels were just ridiculous - loud music played from 8am to midnight, including after quiet hours. I asked a couple of people to turn it down, and they turned it right back up again. Called Alison to check the quiet time policy and she did come and ask people to turn it down, but the next couple of nights were just as bad so it clearly wasn’t strongly enforced. Reading other people’s reviews I wish the noise policy had been enforced as much as some people seemed to think it was! In short: great for a party break, not for quiet families or people who want to enjoy nature.
